I had enough of facebook... Its time to close the account and come back to simpler times, where people would call others when they want to know about each other, not stalk others through the facebook activity updates!

Acronyms

If this busy life has taught us something which can be useful and at the same time so very detached, it has to be all these Acronyms! But no matter how useful they are, acronyms piss me off more often than not...

I can still make my peace with short forms like FYI and such which are used in professional conversations.. I dont use them usually, not even while sending SMS, but I guess it is okay for others to use them if the like... Its the terms like Bye Bye, Good Night, Good Morning, Happy Birthday etc. which when shortened irritates me to the core!I mean these are meant to be "Wishes" for others, isn't it? If you do not have 15 seconds to type the full word of about 20 letters then you might as well not wish the person. What is the need of saying such things, just for the sake of formality!

So please have the courtesy of writing the complete words next time you wish someone Good Night or such...People might call me old-fashioned but I think in today's fast paced such small things can go a long way in letting your loved ones know that you still have time for them! :-)

Happines Unbound

So this is what it feels like when someone is overjoyed! :D I have had this feeling in the past, but that was way too many years ago to remember... You know what I am talking about people, dont you? Its the feeling when  you find, someone with whom you are secretly in love with, is in fact also secretly in love with you!!! :D


Anyway, there is nothing romantic about my happiness today, even though the importance is no less...I havent talked about it on my blog yet, but I have been stuck in a hospital for the last 9 months and just today I got the permission to leave this pathetic place! When the doctor said that today morning, I was almost flabbergasted for a moment. :D The doctors were happy to let me go and I am on cloud number 9! It has been less than 3 hours from then till now and I have already booked my tickets for the coming Wednesday... So within the next 10 days I will be back in Singapore, back to my work, back to be with my friends, and back to land of beautiful girls as well! Hahaha Staying here for so long, I certainly deserve to do some chick watching even if I am a bit too old for that! :D


So that is that... I wont be writing for a while, until I reach Singapore... Even after that I might be very busy with the Student Pass, Medical check ups and house shifting and stuff... So lets see when the next post is going to be.. For that matter, even this one I might not be able to upload, since the internet connection is sucking a lot these days... Anyway... hopefully I will always be happy like this...and That has been the resolution this year... No complaints about anything in life...Look at the bright side of all the sorrows and problems and always be happy...At least thats what I have been doing for the past two months. Hopefully I will continue to do that even when I get busy with work in Singapore ..

Gingerbread

Like any other tech freak I was waiting for this gingerbread update on my Nexus one for the last three months. Google and its employees had been teasing the update for N1 for so long and finally it was announced last week. Thankfully I didnt have to wait for the OTA, thanks to some of the online eagle eyed tipsters, they found the official link to the update on the google servers! So no more waking up in the middle of the night to check my device if the update has been pushed yet, or for any news regarding the release date! I am happy! :D

Update: Been using GB now on my N1 for the last couple of weeks. The graphics look really good and the darkened theme is a welcome change after 1 year of using the older lighter theme! Sadly most of the applications have gone haywire since I updated to GB. Guess just need to wait for the developers to update their apps for GB. So now, there is a new reason to wake up in the middle of the night; have to check the market for possible updates for my installed apps! 

I think, I will always find a reason to turn on my phone or PC every 2 or 3 hours at night! Haha ... Good that I am still single, else my Girl Friend/Wife might have a big problem with that! :D

A day in the life of a fool...

Yet another day, yet another thought... Not that this particular thought doesnt come everyday anyway! :D

I love music, all kinds of music...People say that language is no barrier when it comes to music, well I can prove them right... English, Hindi(thats my native tongue by the way), Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean .... Any song with good music and I would love it. Plus if I understand the lyrics and it means something to me, in that case I have to listen to it over and over and over again! Hahaha Crazy Ha!

So anyway, what I was saying is that since I listen to so many different kinds of music and I like to understand the lyrics, therefore I create these situations in my mind where a particular song would be a perfect fit. Plus given that I am single and getting close to 30 now, I have a lot of songs which I would like to sing/play for my future girl friend on special occasions ... :D But the sad fact remains that getting a girl friend is not an easy job.. I call it a job because frankly one has to really think and spend time to get and maintain a relationship... So its a job, albeit a job filled with a lot of love and fun and excitement and dot dot dot!

Listening to Frank Sinatra's 'A day in the life of a fool', today I tried to think of a situation for this song and it hit me that the song was meant for ME and for NOW! No?

Tech/Gadget Obsession

Is it just me or are there many others like me? You know people who are so obsessed with gadgets and tech news! Yesterday for example, HP was going to announce their latest WebOS related products, I was especially waiting for the tablet they were going to unveil. And being on the other side of the world from US, seriously doesn't help much during such occasions. I tried to stay awake till late, but eventually fell asleep before the event. And then in the middle of the night, I woke up and checked Engadget to find out what HP had announced... Seriously, even on a normal night, whenever I wake up in the middle of the night for drinking water or peeing etc., I cannot go back to sleep without checking a few tech blogs... I guess this is what a doctor will call Obsessive and Compulsive Disease!

Anyway, whatever anyone calls it, I dont suppose I can change myself much. By the way, I want to buy one of these tablets soon, guess I should start saving some money now... Eying the Moto Xoom or the ASUS EP121.... :D Lets see..

Hey Fellas

So I saw this movie a couple days ago, "The Perfect Man"... Crappy movie, but it sure pushed me to start blogging, something I have been thinking about for a while anyway... 

I like writing, so blogging seems to be a natural hobby, though I am not sure how long will I continue... I guess there must be more people like me who start blogging but gradually drop it after a while. 

Anyway, will update later when I have more to share... Till then I will follow other people and see how often do they blog... 

I hardly doubt, anyone is going to read my blog, and in fact I have made it difficult enough for my friends to find it anyway... maybe someone will tumble on it randomly... Hello to any such person in advance! :-)
